2001 - John Trainer Car Sales Ltd ceased trading on 9 November when John Trainer retired.

John Trainer started out as an apprentice mechanic/salesman at Haines and Strange in Cheltenham and after 23 years set up on his own as John Trainer Car Sales Ltd.

1977 - Roger Griffin left Haines & Strange to join JohnTrainer and was the Senior Mechanic with John Trainer Car Sales Ltd until John Trainer retired in 2001.

1989 - Andrew Fry joined as Roger's apprentice.

1992 - Andrew Fry became fully qualified - the pair have worked together ever since.

2001 - After John Trainer retired, on 11 November Fairview Road Garage came into being. Roger Griffin and Andrew Fry, two Mechanics formerly employed by John Trainer Car Sales Ltd, took over the garage.

2002 - Roger and Andrew traded under the name of Fairview Road Garage and continued to successfully run the Workshop.

2003 - On 22 October Fairview Road Garage moved to newer premises 24-28 Sherbourne Steet, Cheltenham and became Fairview Garage.
